ParKur Sorpesee
A multi-generational course for young and old, which offers not only games, fun and sport, but above all a great view of the Sorpesee.
Multi-generation Course “ParKur Sorpesee”
The Langscheid spa gardens have always connected the popular lake promenade with the center of Langscheid. The “ParKur Sorpesee”, conceived in May 2018, offers a varied program for outdoor sports enthusiasts at 44 exercise stations for strength, skill and endurance. At the latest since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, we have known about the relevance of open-air fitness, which has since gained greatly in popularity.
The ParKur Sorpesee in Langscheid invites young and old to get active on the sports and fitness equipment. Fun, sport and skill are clearly in the foreground of this course. And the best thing is: you almost always have a great view of the Sorpesee while you are doing sports.
In October 2020, the ParKur Sorpesee was extended by a so-called “Sport Box Special Edition”, with which training equipment can be borrowed free of charge using a smartphone app. The turnbar itself has been extended by several elements, so that longer monkey bar routes are now possible. Entry or exit can be via a climbing rope. New wall elements also enable static strength training on climbing elements; two additional pull-up bars minimize waiting times in front of the individual devices.

Sportbox: Borrow Training Equipment via App
The ParKur Sorpesee was the first location nationwide to be expanded with a “TURNBAR Sport Box Special Edition”. The innovation is part of a Smart City development for urban and rural areas.
With the Sportbox, training equipment for personal training, but also for club training, can be borrowed free of charge at the facility. Every citizen and guest of the region can book a training hour – after prior personalized registration via the smartphone app of the company “App and Move”. The system is theft-proof and the content and the proper return of the equipment is monitored by means of cameras.
