Water Sports at the Sorpesee
Water, wind & waves.
Diving, Sailing, Surfing and much More
4.31 nautical miles of “open water” offer plenty of space for water sports enthusiasts of all kinds. Whether with wind or muscle power: There is much to see and discover on the Sorpe coast. At the Sorpesee you can dive, sail, surf, paddle, canoe or simply go on a “privateering trip” with a pedal boat. And during the summer season, of course, you can also swim and splash in the lido at the Sorpesee. We have compiled a list of some providers of water sports facilities around the lake for you here.
Diving in the Sorpesee
You can discover the underwater magic with the Sorpesee diving school at any time of the year. There is a lot to see in the deepest of all Sauerland lakes. Or as the diving friends like to say: “At first it leaves you speechless and later you have to tell everyone about it.”
You can find more information about the diving school at the Sorpesee here.
Sailing on the Sorpesee
When sailing, every day feels like a vacation day. A light breeze or really strong wind: What type of sailor are you? You can learn to sail or take a trial course at the “Selas” or “Segel mit mir” providers at the Sorpesee. You will find all the information you need on the websites of the two providers.
Stand-Up-Paddling – SUP
It’s not just recently that this way of moving a “board” over the water has been popular. In addition to good body balance, stand-up paddling requires endurance. You can get trial courses and SUP boards for hire from the “Mr. Move” provider as well as from the pedal boat rental stations on the promenade in Langscheid and on the AiRlebnisweg in Amecke (below the Restaurant & Café AiRnah) on the Sorpesee.
Further information can be found here:
Canoeing
Canoe season on the Sorpesee – 0.00% emissions meets 100% fun. Get out on the water and make kilometers with your own muscle power, it’s like hiking on the water. In addition to canoe tours for groups, the “Woohoo” provider at the Sorpesee also offers canoes, bikes and bows for hire.
Fishing & Fishing Boat Rental at the Sorpesee
Fly fishing, missed bite week or fish contact – that is the question here.
