Sorpesee – A second home – Permanent camping is like coming home
We don’t know for sure whether every camping front yard has a garden gnome family living in it. But what we do know for sure is that permanent campers love their weekend home away from home on the Sorpesee and live for this wonderful break between grilling & chilling in their “colony.”
At the Sorpesee, we have a total of 700 permanent pitches and approx. 100 so-called transit campsites on a total of 10 hectares of shoreline, which have been established on four campsites since the 1970s. A weekend and holiday retreat has developed between the Sunderaner districts of Amecke and Langscheid that is second to none.

Storage and Costs: Surfboards/SUP Board, Canoes/Kayaks & Rowing Boats
Surfboards/SUP boards
- Storage is free of charge.
- Surfboards/SUP boards must be stored on your own caravan pitch.
- They must not be stored or left outside of it
Canoes & kayaks
- Storage is free of charge if they are stored on your own caravan pitch. (not in front of, behind or next to it)
- Storage outside of your own parking space: €51.00 per year. Please register this in advance with Sorpesee GmbH.
- Storage on the rowing boat poles: €102.00 for the summer season / €54.00 in winter. Please register this in advance with Sorpesee GmbH.
Rowing boats
- Rowing boats must be stored on the rowing boat poles: Storage there costs €102.00 for the summer season / €54.00 in winter. Please register this in advance with Sorpesee GmbH.

General Information Seasonal Pitches for Caravans at the Sorpesee
Summer season at the Sorpesee: Life around the lake awakens and nature shows its most beautiful side. Enjoy the camping life in the middle of nature at the Sorpesee with a seasonal pitch for your caravan. The pitches can be rented from April to October and are all in the best location – directly on the banks of the Sorpesee. Unforgettable lake moments: Most beautiful in real life.
Brief Information Seasonal Pitches
- Two locations at the Sorpesee (Family camping, Nordic Ferienpark)
- A total of 14 pitches for caravans (incl. awning) directly on the waterfront
Prices Seasonal Pitches 2025
- Costs for a season, from April to October: €1415.00 (Z2 + Z3 incl. seasonal parking permit) or 1200.00 (Z5)
- Applies to two people from one household and minor children

Family Camping at the Sorpesee
The campsite on the banks of the Sorpe, which is open all year round, offers 194 permanent pitches and various bookable accommodation options for all those who love real camping life. 21,000 square meters of prime lakefront location and 24/7 real camper life – whether with a tent or in one of our rental properties. Find your favorite spot on the Sorpesee.
Nordic Ferienpark Sorpesee
The Nordic Ferienpark is a real gem on the Sorpesee. The bay is centrally located, halfway between the villages of Langscheid and Amecke and is home to 80 permanent campers. The unobstructed view of the lake and direct access to the water make the location unique.
Nature Camping Sorpesee
24,000 square meters of camping area in a fantastic waterfront location. We’re certainly not breaking camp here, because a great nature adventure awaits. In addition to 164 permanent pitches, the “Naturcamping” campsite offers 20 tent pitches directly on the lake shore. A night under the stars clears your head and shows us clearly: Sometimes less is simply more.
Camping at the dam
You will find another campsite at the forebay of the Sorpesee: 37,000 square meters in a prime location on the Amecker Sorpe forebay. The site offers 285 permanent campers the opportunity to spend time at the Sorpesee all year round.
