Voices of Summer back in Langscheid

This year, the concert “Voices of Summer” will once again be held in Langscheid. It will take place on Saturday, June 27, on the terrace at the Haus des Gastes: an ideal location for a summer event like this, with a view across the spa park to the Sorpesee.

At 5:00 PM, the Westfalia Langscheid choir will open the concert under the direction of Marcel Buckert. The organizers will be supported by friendly choirs and a soloist. Mostly modern songs will be performed not only by the Langscheid choir; the guest choirs also want to entertain the audience with contemporary choral music.

The organizers are especially pleased to have received a commitment from “Music-Factory Sauerland”, a youth choir that has attracted attention in the Hochsauerland region with its own CD and remarkable performances, drawing its repertoire from interpretations of pop music and musicals.

Also contributing to the program are the “Shalomchor Neuenrade”, a mixed choir that plays a major role in shaping cultural life in Neuenrade, and the “MGV Sauerlandia Arnsberg”, a men’s choir that can present demanding repertoire even as a small ensemble. The musical representatives of Sundern Grammar School are always welcome guests. This year, soloist Alexia Iancu, accompanied on piano by Lina Thüsing, will represent the school in fitting style. Everyone is warmly invited to Voices of Summer; with this program, the organizer particularly hopes to appeal to young people as well.

From 4:00 PM, guests can get in the mood for the concert with coffee and cake, as well as at the barbecue and drinks stands. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
